LiveStage points a camera at you and sends the picture somewhere to be transformed. You deserve a straight account of what that means, so the important part is first rather than buried in clause fourteen.
While the AI camera is switched on, your live video is transmitted to a third-party AI model provider that generates the transformed scene and sends it back. That happens continuously, in realtime, for as long as the AI is on.
Under that provider's current terms, content sent to them may be used to develop and improve their AI models. We are telling you plainly because it affects what you point a camera at.
When you switch the AI off — your raw camera stays live and streaming — no video is sent anywhere. It goes from your camera to your streaming software and nowhere else.
LiveStage itself does not record or store your video. We do not keep your camera feed, we do not save your broadcasts, and no employee of ours watches your stream. Clips you save are written to your own computer and never uploaded to us.
If you would rather your video were not used for model improvement, don't run the AI camera on anything you consider sensitive. Ask us at privacy@livestagehq.com if you need a stricter arrangement for your business — we are working on one.
LiveStage repaints the picture. It does not perform facial recognition, does not create a faceprint or scan of face geometry, does not attempt to identify anyone from an image, and does not match faces between sessions or between users. We do not sell, lease, trade or profit from biometric information, and we do not disclose it, because we do not hold it.
| What | Why |
|---|---|
| Email address | To create your account, send login codes, and contact you about your subscription. |
| Name and profile email from Google, if you sign in that way | Only to confirm you control the address. We request the minimum: your identity and email, nothing else from your Google account. |
| Billing records | Subscription status, plan and payment history, held by our payment processor. We never receive your full card number. |
| AI minutes used | To meter your allowance and bill correctly. |
| Scene performance data — which scenes you used, for how long, and sales you logged | To show you which scenes sell best. This is your business data; we use it to build your report and nothing else. |
| Technical logs — IP address, browser, timestamps, errors | Security, abuse prevention, rate limiting and debugging. |
We do not use advertising trackers, we do not build advertising profiles, and we do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising.
We share only what each provider needs to do its job, and only with these categories of processor:
We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or to protect our rights or someone's safety. If LiveStage is ever sold or merged, account data may transfer with the business; you will be told before that happens.
A current list of our sub-processors is available on request from privacy@livestagehq.com.
| Data | Kept |
|---|---|
| Live video | Not stored by us at all. |
| Account and email | Until you delete your account, then removed within 30 days. |
| Scene performance data | Until you press "Reset history" or delete your account, whichever is first. |
| Usage and metering records | Up to 24 months, for billing and tax records. |
| Billing records | As long as tax and accounting law requires, typically 7 years. |
| Technical logs | Up to 90 days. |
When a retention period ends, or the purpose we collected something for is satisfied, the data is permanently deleted from our systems and our backups on their normal rotation.
If you put a guest, customer or colleague on camera, their video is processed exactly like yours. You are responsible for telling them and getting their agreement first — we have no relationship with them and no way to ask on your behalf. This is also required by our terms.
Wherever you live, you can ask us to show you what we hold, correct it, delete it, or send you a copy. Email privacy@livestagehq.com and we will respond within 30 days. We will not treat you worse for exercising these rights.
You have the right to know, delete, correct and opt out of sale or sharing under the CCPA/CPRA. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined, so there is nothing to opt out of, but the request line above is the same.
Our lawful bases are performance of our contract with you (running the service), legitimate interests (security, abuse prevention, improving the product) and consent where you give it — for example, when your browser asks permission for your camera. You may object to processing, request portability, and complain to your local data protection authority. Data may be processed in the United States, under Standard Contractual Clauses where required.
LiveStage stores a login token and your preferences in your browser so you stay signed in and your setup persists. Scene performance data is also kept in your browser and synced to your account so it follows you between machines. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
LiveStage is for adults and is not directed at children. You must be 18 or older to hold an account. If we learn we hold data from someone under 18, we delete it.
Traffic is encrypted in transit. Access to production systems is limited to people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, and we will tell you promptly if a breach affects your data.
If we change this policy in a way that materially affects you — particularly anything in section 1 — we will email you before it takes effect rather than quietly changing the date at the top.
